JHPD Lateral Police Officer

A certified law enforcement officer with at least two (2) years of experience in a full-service law enforcement agency (Maryland preferred).

  • Must possess a high school diploma or GED.
  • Must have current Maryland Police and Correctional Training Commission (MPCTC) certification or meet Comparative Compliance Standards.

Responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring community-oriented law enforcement services.
  • Patrolling and crime prevention services.
  • Offering proactive support of student and staff initiatives.
  • Enforcing University policies and regulations.
